"Live sculpture with craftsmen Albane Salmon and Maxime Perrolle

As part of the collaboration between creators from the Jardin des métiers d'Art et du Design, Albane Salmon and Maxime Perrolle invite you to attend a live sculpture performance. From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th, pieces of wood from the Domaine National du Parc de Saint Cloud will be transformed under the hands of the two craftsmen to give life to a sculpture in which the effects of texture will be emphasized, the curves of the wood, the hues of fire and natural pigments revealed.

Albane Salmon, a cabinetmaker by training, works mainly in solid wood and makes all her creations herself. Her aesthetic is inspired by the observation of nature and phenomena such as erosion and the random wear and tear of materials exposed to time and the elements. Her creations favor instinctive, organic forms, drawn and modeled freehand, imbued with the irregularity of the human eye and gesture.

Maxime Perrolle is an art woodturner. It was his passion for trees that led him to this profession, for the serenity they exude and the testimony they embody. On a daily basis, he works in close contact with this material, "unwinding the shavings, uncovering the rings, revealing the fragrances, deciphering the stories". By his own admission, this contact with wood is an essential need, a fundamental component of his life!

Friday 24 to Sunday 26 March
