Héléna Guy Lhomme is a textile craftswoman and visual artist. Her vocation took root in the artists' studios of Moscow and then evolved in France when she moved away from the rigidity of ceramics and bronze towards the plasticity and craftsmanship of wool, developing her taste for an ecological material, produced by both humans and animals, evocative of a feminine history.

Her interest in this material is above all conceptual and almost performative, cultivating a highly contemporary indiscipline. Influences from Dutch still lifes and Spanish Golden Age chiaroscuro intermingle in her creations, giving rise to large-format pieces imbued with softness, physicality and exuberance. Héléna is a graduate of HEC, the École du Louvre and the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy (ENSAPC).
