Architecte en Chef des Monuments Historiques since 1996, Marie-Suzanne de Ponthaud Her achievements include the restoration of several castles, cathedrals, the Musée d'Orsay, the Musée de la Céramique and the Manufacture de Sèvres. Appointed to take charge of the JAD rehabilitation project, the de Ponthaud agency was entrusted with a site damaged by 50 years of wandering and a succession of not always desirable occupants. Faced with the ambitions of the Hauts-de-Seine department, eager to make the site a mecca for interdisciplinary dialogue between crafts and design, the agency was able to capture the spirit of the project with finesse, forging a lasting link between the site's heritage identity and its everyday future. Between the challenges of heritage restoration and the creation of new uses, Marie-Suzanne de Ponthaud will tell us about the adventure of this extraordinary rehabilitation.

Chaser, goldsmith, planer, polisher, turner, Nicolas Marischaël is an all-round multi-talented craftsman. He is heir to a family line that goes back to 1924, when his grandfather founded the historic workshop on rue de Saintonge in the Marais district of Paris. Today, he is the holder of exceptional traditional skills handed down from generation to generation, which he applies to traditional and contemporary goldsmithing. He is also a Master of Art, a passer-by with a taste for passing on and practicing on a daily basis with his daughter Mélissa Marischaël, who has now become his pupil. Finally, he is a creator who thrives on dialogue with design. This dialogue is reflected in the "Osmos" project, developed in partnership with designer Felipe Ribon, which won the 2015 Bettencourt Schueller Foundation prize for the intelligence of the hand. As part of the European Heritage Days and JAD's opening to the public, he will be sharing his invaluable experience with us on Sunday September 18 from 4 to 5 pm, reflecting the values that drive us at JAD: a passion for excellent craftsmanship, contemporary creation, innovation and, above all, sharing!
